2019 Honda Accord comes as the second generation of the model, redesigned last year, and the tenth generation of the famous sedan made in this factory. As the last model was changed, the manufacturer made only a few changes this time, remaining the same shape and design of the model like before. There is still a wider car, with more space inside and new hybrid optional engine as before.
Honda Accord was significantly changed last year when current model released, so we did not expect many changes in 2019 Honda Accord. Current Accord is longer and wider, with many modern details and novelties in term of design. The long front end has a recognizable wide grille with a chromatic line with the logo across it. There is wide air intake on the bottom and thin lines on the sides as fog lights. The rear end is shorter and slightly curved, with short truck door and modern wide rear lights in shape of the letter C.
When manufacturer made the last model, he also changed the size of the car, enlarging the cabin as well. It became larger for 1.9 cubic feet and 40.8-inch large. That allows not only much more space for passenger and their legs (the second row got 1.9-inches), but also provided more space to the manufacturer to put equipment and additions. This time the cabin has only a few improvements from the last model, while the security area is upgraded significantly. The only problem could be smaller space for grocery in the truck in hybrid models, because of the electric battery. The cabin is roomy and soft, with soft seats and leather in higher trims.
There are no many changes under the hood of 2019 Honda Accord after last year redesigning. The base model is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 192 horsepower, with an optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 250 horsepower, as a replacement for the V6 engine, presented in models in past. However, it is for sure that the manufacturer will offer a hybrid unit, too, as a combination of 2.0-liter petrol engine and an electric unit. Both engines produce 212 horsepower of strength, and this engine is the only one that comes with the CVT transmission. All other versions got 10-speed automatic transmission.
2019 Honda Accord Release Date and Price
Experts predict great selling season for 2019 Honda Accord, mostly because of high popularity of the previous model. However, the price should be remaining as for the last model, which is $24,000 for the base model that could grow to $36,000 with all equipment. The main competitor is Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima.
