2019 Honda CR-V is slightly redesigned car changed to be more competitive with modern cars but still recognizable and unique on the market of crossovers. Even though the manufacturer has made a change in 2016 model, they changed it again for next year. However, those changes are in details and include possible changes in engine type, too.
There are no expected changes in the exterior design of 2019 Honda CR-V, at least not as far we know. However, the car should be the combination of the sporty and luxury vehicle as before, with few redesigning and improvements. As a great modernly designed crossover it has a recognizable chromatic grille with large lights and meshes air intake on the bottom of front bumper and small fog lights on the sides of it. The rear end is rounded with soft edges, together with modernly designed rear lights and chromatic line over the truck door. In order to be sportier, the car has many chromatic details as well as carriers on the roof.
The cabin of 2019 Honda CR-V is both elegant and large, so there can be driven five adult passengers, which get additional leg space in a rear row. However, the cabin is made of great dark grey leather that covers seats and dashboard, together with detail in chrome. In terms of technology, we expect improved infotainment system and bigger touchscreen on the dashboard. The manufacturer improves safety in their models constantly, so we expect additions like departure lane alert, collision control, airbags, rearview camera and cruise control besides rich infotainment system.
The engine under the hood of 2019 Honda CR-V should be the same as on current model and that is 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 180 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque in the base model. However, there should be also 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque in special sporty trim. Both are paired with CVT automatic transmission and could be offered as an all-wheel driving system, too. The manufacturer also introduced a special 2.0-liter petrol engine in combination with an electric motor as a hybrid version at 2017 Auto Show in Frankfurt, but they have not confirmed that engine in this car yet.
2019 Honda CRV Release Date and Price
2019 Honda CR-V should be on the market at the end of 2018 for the price of $25,000 for the base model and the highest possible price of $35,000. This car has always been the main competitor to Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-R, and Ford Escape, so it will compete with them again.
