2019 Chevrolet Volt obviously survived GM’s plans to remove some electric vehicles that recorded weak sales. Chevrolet Volt should have been one of them, among Cadillac CT6 and XTS, Buick La Cross and Chevrolet Sonic and Impala. The reason is mentioned weak selling, but also high costs of making them, including the costs of the popularization of hybrid engines, so manufacturer considered of removing them or replacing with more wanted models. When it comes to Chevrolet, the manufacturer said that it could be a crossover instead of a classic sedan. Even though engineers from Chevrolet announced this in 2017, it obviously never happened, because we have a new Volt right in front of us. As the matter of fact, not only that they kept Volt, but they also made a crossover they have planned, called Bolt and another vehicle, Chevrolet Corvette C8, which shares many features with Volt.
Even though the manufacturer has not shown how 2019 Chevrolet Volt will really look like, we could use their prospects to see the planned design of this car. It will have a recognizable front grille, with chromatic grids and famous logo in the middle of it. On the rear end is wide and high positioned truck, with redesigned rear lights. The car has no special decorations and curves, making this vehicle simple and more natural.
The cabin in 2019 Chevrolet Volt will be luxury and elegant, wrapped in leather and two color quality fabric. Adjustable seats are shaped to provide comfort and enjoyment, while the equipment is among the richest in the class.
Having an electric engine means a hybrid component with petrol unit, which is needed to drive 2019 Chevrolet Volt in cases when it lost its power or have problems with starting of the electric engine. This engine is capable of driving more than 80 miles without charging of electricity and even more than 600 miles in combination with fuel. The speed of 60 miles increases for 90 seconds while its top speed is around 100 miles per hour.
2019 Chevrolet Volt Release Date and Price
It is still not known if 2019 Chevrolet Volt will be on the road in the US, or only in Europe as they have planned at first place. Whatever it is, the price should be around $40,000 for the base model. Releasing is expected somewhere at the end of 2018, while the second generation should be on the market at the end of 2020. The great news is very long warranty which lasts eight years of 160,000 miles. That could be very attractive for future buyers.
