2017 Ferrari 488 GTB Price
Posted on by
The 2017 Ferrari 488 GTB comes hot on the heels of the release of the 488 GTB, although it will be rendered more aggressive, as its sheet metal comes influenced by the 2014 LaFerrari supercar, and more powerful since it will be motivated by a 3.9-liter V8 which will be turbocharged to up the horsepower to a stunning 700 horsepower. Naturally, all these ponies come at a price, which, although still not released, will be quite a bump on the current 488 GTB. It is too bad Ferrari hasn’t released any spy shots as yet so all the pictures are strictly result of a little bit of creative engineering, hearsay, and current trends in the Ferrari lineup.
Exterior and Interior
The 2017 Ferrari 488 GTB brings in plenty of attitude to the 488 GTB design featuring a menacing font with large vents and a sharp carbon fiber splitter. The vertical struts house active flaps to suck in air flow into and around the car. The hood includes a large air extractor and optional badging signaling to everybody that you are driving a Ferrari, as if the red coating wasn’t obvious enough. The banked headlamps are accompanied by thin vents, while bulging fenders sweep sharply back into scalloped panels which channel the air straight into massive vents mounted on the rear fenders.
Carbon fiber features extensively on the side skirts, fins, roof and rear fender vents. Around back, the model comes with a sporty diffuser and rear spoiler, as well as a retractable aero foil. While we do not expect a strictly bare-bones interior, there is not much in the way of headroom or legroom that we can promise. The dashboard will be as clean and uncluttered as they comes with instrument cluster and visible graphics. The performance-oriented flat-bottom steering wheel will have control buttons mounted on the three spokes, while the center stack will probably feature a few buttons including transmission controls. The mats, seats and door panels are likely to be leather with contrast stitching.
The 2017 Ferrari 488 GTB‘s powerhouse comes with great expectations, namely, to deliver upwards of the current 488 GTB’s 660 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. It will be accomplished thanks to a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 and twin-turbochargers with an expected target of no less than 700 horsepower. The Ferrari’s seven-speed dual clutch will rout the power to the rear wheels and make possible to finish the 0 to 60 mph sprint in only 2.8 seconds, if we are to believe the rumors. The top speed should be close to 210 mph.
2017 Ferrari 488 GTB Release Date and Price
