The 2017 Chevrolet Volt is another plug-in hybrid electric vehicle manufactured by Chevrolet (General Motors). Chevrolet did not made a lot of Volts in earlier years, only 2,000 a month or so. The practice is to lower the price for every newly announced model to become more popular, which we think it’s a great way to inveigle customers.
2017 Chevrolet Volt Had a Redesign
New Volt just had it’s redesign to lower the price of the vehicle and to gain more fuel and electric efficiency. With redesigned vehicle General Motors got a new and very trendy product people will love because of the mileage and modern look.
Release Date and Price
The 2017 Chevrolet Volt was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show 2015 in January. The date of first 2017 Chevrolet Volt in a salon is not yet certain, but it is estimated to be during 2015. The price will drop significantly because of the redesign and different materials used in assembling the new Volt. The price could be maybe even $10,000 lower than for the previous model.
General Motors said they will cover the bill with some $10,000 for every sold Volt! It is a nice move, but can they afford such move? Well, thanks to the GM price coverage, the new 2017 Volt will be probably priced at the level of $25,000 to $35,000. It is a big bang for the buck if this will be true. General Motors and Chevrolet will dig a grave for it’s competitors with this move. We will congratulate to them when it really happens.
An electric hybrid is not made for fast rides (if it’s not a Tesla), so the new 2017 Chevrolet Volt will get from zero to sixty miles in about 9 seconds, similar like it’s predecessor. It is still great timing, but not the greatest.
The new Chevy Volt will do a nice job on it’s mileage and will be capable of doing 35 miles per gallon in a city and some 40 miles per gallon on a highway.
